Servings: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup frozen mango chunks
  • ½ cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • ½ small frozen banana cut into pieces
  • 1 ¼ cup coconut milk or almond milk, oat milk
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Method

  1. Gather your high-speed blender, measuring cups, and all ingredients.
  2. Pour the 1 ¼ cups of coconut milk into your blender first. This helps create a vortex for smoother blending.
  3. Add the ½ small frozen banana pieces, followed by the ¾ cup of frozen mango chunks, and finally the ½ cup of fresh pineapple chunks. Layering helps process ingredients efficiently.
  4. Toss in the ½ cup of ice cubes for a frosty and thick smoothie.
  5. Secure the lid and blend on low, gradually increasing to high speed, until completely smooth and creamy. Use a tamper if needed to prevent chunks.
  6. Check consistency. If too thick, add a splash of milk (1 tbsp at a time). If too thin, add more ice or frozen fruit.
  7. Pour into a glass and serve immediately to enjoy its optimal creamy, frosty goodness.

Notes

Always prioritize frozen fruit for the thickest, creamiest texture. Adjust sweetness with maple syrup, dates, or lime juice. For a protein boost, add protein powder, chia seeds, or hemp seeds. For a vibrant green twist, add a handful of fresh spinach or kale (you won't taste it!). Experiment with a pinch of ginger or turmeric, or fresh mint leaves. If storing, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for no more than a few hours; texture may change.
