Ingredients
Method
- First, ensure all your fruits are prepped. If your banana isn't frozen, peel, cut, and freeze for at least 30 minutes. Measure out frozen mango, fresh pineapple, frozen banana, coconut milk, and ice cubes. Having everything ready makes blending seamless.
- Place ingredients into your high-speed blender carefully. Start with liquid (coconut milk) at the bottom, then add softer fruits (banana, pineapple). Finally, pile frozen mango and ice cubes on top. This layering creates a natural vortex, pulling ingredients down efficiently.
- Secure the lid and begin blending on low, gradually increasing to high speed. Continue for about 60 to 90 seconds, until the mixture is completely uniform, smooth, and creamy. Ensure no chunks remain.
- If ingredients get stuck, stop the blender immediately. Use a tamper or long spoon to push contents towards the blades. Never use utensils while blending. Replace lid and resume.
- Assess texture. If too thin, add more frozen fruit (mango or banana) or a few extra ice cubes, then re-blend. If too thick, gradually add more liquid (coconut milk or water), blending until desired pourable consistency is reached.
- Your perfectly blended Mango Pineapple Smoothie is ready. Pour into a chilled glass or bowl. Enjoy it right away to experience its optimal frosty temperature and velvety texture. Freshness is best when consumed directly after blending.
Notes
For the best results, always use frozen fruit for a thick, creamy consistency. Layer ingredients strategically in the blender: liquid first, then softer fruits, then frozen items and ice. Customize consistency by adding more frozen fruit for thicker results or more liquid for thinner. For variations, add protein powder, a handful of spinach, or adjust sweetness with maple syrup or a date. While best enjoyed fresh, you can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 24 hours in the fridge, re-blending before serving.
